A participant in the Elk River ATV Fun Run that was held on Saturday, died in a crash. The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office sprang into action upon the report of an overdue motorcycle rider. Natasha Mael reported that her fiance, Steven Raney, was overdue to return from his participation ride in the Elk River ATV fun run. She said that Steven was an experienced rider, knew the area well, and was wearing a helmet. A search was initiated, and it included helicopters. Eventually, Steven’s body was found by some campers on Morris Creek Road. The accident investigation is ongoing.
