An accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian has resulted in the arrest of a man from Lewiston. Police say it happened Saturday night just before 11, when 36 year old Jonathan Evans of Lewiston, left a party after allegedly starting some sort of physical disturbance. Lewiston Police say a 41 year old woman who was at the party, told Evans he was too drunk to drive, and she tried to stop him from doing so. But as she was standing near the driver’s side of his pickup truck, Evans ran over the woman. She was rushed to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. There has been no update on her condition, and her name has not been released. Evans was arrested and is now facing felony charges including aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol.
