Just minutes before 5pm on Thursday, the City of Lewiston lifted the Boil Water Alert Order that had been in effect for all Lewiston water customers. City officials say modifications to the water system have been made which will now provide safe water to all customers from a different reservoir. They say the affected reservoir has been disconnected from the system and drained of all remaining water, and that means all Lewiston water customers can again safely use their tap water, and there is no longer any need to flush their system or take any other precautions. Still however, you may experience discolored water as a result of the modifications made to the system. If you do, just call (208)-984-7096 and the city will take care of it.
