Lewiston Declares Water Emergency

In Lewiston, the mayor has issued a Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency after the breach of a water reservoir. Lewiston has since experienced major flooding in multiple homes and businesses, after the breach that has compromised consumable water for more than 24,000 residents. The local disaster emergency according to the declaration, poses an imminent threat to public health and safety. An emergency Boil Water Alert Order that was issued also remains in effect until further notice.
