Holiday Gas Prices Near Breaking Point

As we approach Thanksgiving this year, prices nationwide are not giving a lot to be thankful for, and Washingtonians have been especially hard hit by rising prices, especially at the gas pump. AAA says this will be the most expensive Thanksgiving travel weekend in the 22 years the motor club has been tracking the data. On Monday, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in Washington State was sitting at $4.67… at least a little decrease though from the June peak of nearly $5.02. But this Thanksgiving, gas is still about 20 cents higher than a year ago, and a dollar more per gallon than it was back in 2019.
