Over the weekend, Kamiah Fire-Rescue was asking people to avoid Highway 64. That was because they, the Idaho Department of Lands, and other resources were hard at work trying to contain a wildfire that was reported burning in the vicinity of mile marker 24. Another reminder… and this applies to anytime a fire is burning in the area… they ask that you do not fly drones in the area of a wildfire. If you fly drones, aerial resources can’t fly the aircraft they need to fly to fight the fire.
