A robbery suspect was taken into custody and another was fatally wounded Sunday in St. Regis, Montana. The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Sander’s County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montana Highway Patrol was part of an officer-involved shooting near the travel center that began with an armed robbery in Osburn, Idaho. Investigators say there is no threat to public safety at this time. The investigation has been turned over to the Montana Department of Criminal Investigations.
