This past Tuesday, just after noon, police did a welfare check at a home on North Madelia Street in Spokane. When the arrived and went inside, they found a man and a woman dead inside the residence. The police Major Crimes Unit then responded to the scene. The initial investigation, so far anyway, indicates that the deaths may be the result of a murder-suicide. Police will only say that the investigation remains active, and more information will be released when it becomes available. The identities of the deceased and the cause or manner of death has so far also not been released, pending results of tests by the medical examiner.
