Nez Perce Bird Count to Be Held This Weekend

Everyone is invited to come out and count birds at the Nez Perce National Historical Park. It all happens this Saturday at the Spalding site between 8am and 1pm. The Great Backyard Bird Count is a national effort to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations to help researchers better understand how birds are doing and how to protect them and their habitat. Those who show up to participate, will have a hand in identifying and counting birds in the Spalding picnic area. You can come out for 15 minutes or as long as your day allows. Simply meet in the Spalding picnic area parking lot anytime between 8am-1pm. All ages welcome and no prior experience needed!
