Arsonist Headed to Federal Prison

A man from Spokane is headed to prison for 5 years for his part in a church arson fire. 25 year old Rios Mirabal was sentenced in federal court, to 60 months in federal prison for arson of a building used in interstate commerce. The judge also ordered Mirabal to pay restitution of more than $4.9 Million for damages caused from the fire he started at the St. Charles Parrish and School in Spokane. Mirabal will also serve three years of supervised release. He pled guilty last September, after being in federal custody since his arrest in March 2021.
