Big Drug Bust

Two men from the Portland, Oregon area are facing federal charges for running a drug trafficking organization responsible for making and distributing hundreds of thousands of counterfeit Oxycodone pills containing fentanyl. 61 year old James Dunn, Jr. and 50 year old Joshua Wilfong have been charged with conspiring with one another and others to manufacture, distribute, and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl. Investigators say Dunn purchased fentanyl in Mexico and smuggled it into the U.S. in counterfeit prescription pills. Dunn would give the fentanyl to Wilfong who would produce the pills in a makeshift laboratory he maintained inside a storage unit. They say Wilfong and Dunn routinely sold hundreds of thousands of fentanyl pills in single transactions and sold an average of 10,000 pills a week. Both men appeared in court and were ordered detained as flight risks and dangers to the community.
