Idaho residents are being warned today about a scam targeting homeowners after some people have reported receiving a flyer in the mail about Idaho’s Property Tax Reduction program. While the flyer looks official and implies that it’s from the Idaho State Tax Commission or another government entity, state officials stress that it is not in any way affiliated with the state. It is nothing more than an attempt to get personal information, and it even contains inaccurate information about the state property tax reduction program. They say do not call the number on the flyer, and if you get one, shred it before you toss it.
